STATEMENT
Carrie Radzevicius is a dual American and Australian who recently moved to Brisbane after living in Adelaide from 2008 to 2020. Driven by the effects of global politics and policy outcomes on local communities, her practice focuses on experimenting with the use of line, natural materials and images of everyday life to challenge socio-ecological conventions and perspectives. She also brings several years of community engagement experience to deliver programs that encourage creative innovation, community interaction, wellbeing and civic engagement as a means to improve social outcomes for local communities. Through her works and program delivery she aims to offer viewers and participants empowering experiences that spark compassion, empathy and understanding.
