RESEARCH
Findings
The past six years of research into ecology, resilience thinking and socio-ecological systems has led me to develop a circular system of making modelled on ecological adaptive resilience systems. The final artefact of this research was the development of the film, Lively Matter. The findings of this research have been summarised in the three films below.
Art Practices and Ecology: The (Not-So) Odd CoupleThe first in a three-part film offering an introduction to creative contemporary practices modeled on ecological adaptive resilience cycles.

Spiraling Resilience: The Scientific-ish Evolution of Resilient Creative MakingThis segment describes the evolution of a creative resilience model.

Absorption and Innovation: Observing Resilience In Contemporary Arts PracticeThis final segment explains how a contemporary arts process can demonstrate resilient making through applied examples of novelty and innovation as they occur in Lively Matter.
